The Arizona Recycling Coalition (AzRC) is a non-profit organization of professionals and citizens pledged to promoting recycling efforts in the public sector and in the business communities throughout Arizona. AzRC provides strong leadership on waste reduction issues and promotes the Reduce, Reuse and Recycle ethic through education and membership involvement in the state.

Membership

Receive a two for the price of one membership when you join the Arizona Recycling Coalition between now and December 31, 2007. Join before December 31, 2007 and your membership will be good until June, 2009!

The membership process is convenient and easy to use. Simply complete the application form and pay online using PayPal. Membership information regarding categories and dues is listed.

Members joining between now and December 31, 2007, are eligible to respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs) that could provide your company, city or organization with up to a $5,000 grant. Other RFPs will be awarded in the amounts of $4,000 and $2,000.

Nominations

Nominations for the Arizona Recycling Coalition (AzRC) are now being accepted. The open positions are listed below for the Board of Directors and nominations will be accepted through November 30, 2007. Voting will be via e-mail in early December, receipt of votes must be received by January 2, 2008. Announcement and installation of the new Officers and Board of Directors at Large will take place at the January, 2008 meeting (place and date to be determined).

Board of Director Positions Available for Nomination (A total of 5 positions available):

• President
• Vice President/Secretary (a Secretary will be nominated and voted upon by the new Board, when they feel the need to have another individual on the Board.
• Treasurer
• 2 - Board Member At Large

To nominate you must be a member in good standing with the Arizona Recycling Coalition (Dues must be current).

To BE nominated and placed on the slate for voting you must be a member in good standing with the Arizona Recycling Coalition (Dues must be current).

Typically, a board member should plan on 2 to 4 hours per month on average, some months it may be more, others it may be less to fulfill the expectations of the elected position (more time in months when a board meeting is held or some other event).
